‘Prodigy’ is the best way to describe Swedish photographer Agnes Thor. At just 23 years old, she has already exhibited internationally, been featured in the prestigious New York Photo Festival, won Tim Barber’s endorsement on his influential Tiny Vices website and been published more times than most photographers twice her age. Not bad, hey?
Thor will be making her Canadian solo exhibition debut at The Emporium Gallery (3035 St. Antoine Ouest) with A Place of One’s Own- a new, transportive photographic exhibition depicting a manufactured world comprised of invented memories. The vernissage is on Thursday, October 22nd from 7PM-11PM and, the photographer will be in attendance (all the way from Sweden).
