Maison Kitsune 8 // SS/10 Golf Club Collection

Looks like the french are busy and this time it’s from Music/Fashion label Kitsune (the lablels founder  Gildas Loaec was Daft Punks art director and was the manager of Thomas Bangalter’s record label: Roule).
The Maison Kitsune 8 compilation and the SS/10 Golf Club collection sound and look hot.  Definitely anticipating the release of both (stay tuned here for more details).
For those of you who can’t get enough of Kitsune head over to their myspace page (here) to download their free app.

I like the fact that something very small such as Kitsuné became almost instantly worldwide famous (alright, maybe the Daft Punk leader helped a bit boosting the buzz). Still, it seems very casual, very DIY, there’s no pretention in what they’re doing. In less than a few years, alternative bands have emerged because of them, they’ve created a fashion label that’s reputed, and they’re now heading towards new media with videos and magazines. I think that’s exactly what Montreal needs, and eventually, I’d like to see the same thing happening – to find a Montreal magazine at Colette or Opening Ceremony, how cool would that be!
