Simian Mobile Disco are back in town and this time promoting their latest album: Temporary Pleasure. The album is far from being a temporary pleasure with all the electronic music that’s come out this year. TP is hands down in my top 10 albums for this year. Gone are the hard and catchy tracks like Hustler and instead its been replaced with synth-pop tracks like: Cream Dream, Cruel Intentions and Audacity of Huge (to name a few). Their are also great non-vocal tracks like: 1000 Horses Can’t Be Wrong & Synthesize to round out the album. Another stand out for me is: Turn up the Dial the track has the chaos and catchiness of a Basement Jaxx track but (dare I say) done better than the Jaxx themselves (we’re talking post Kish Kash Jaxx).
If you don’t own the album then definitely get on it then buy tickets for the show this Saturday at the SAT. The show is brought to you by iloveneon and you can get tickets from the usual suspecets:
