Video Vendredi

Alright so I wasn’t cool enough (more or less fortunate) to get the H1N1 but I have been trapped at home with the flu (lets call it R2D2) this week.  We’ll this week I decided to watch some of the classics: Ferris Bueller, Young Guns I & II, Short Circuit I & II and a few others and lets just say the 80’s kick didn’t end there.  What’s great about going through this 80’s revival trend with hair, fashion and recession is the music.  Sadly the one thing in the music that didn’t come was great artists.  Yes we do have some great talent from obscure to pop but we never got idols (if anything we lost one).  Their were a huge list of the them in the 80’s Sade, George Michael, Eurythemics, Hall and Oates, Police (amongst a huge list) but I gotta give this weeks Video Vendredi to: Phil Collins.

Although: Easy Lover is a Philip Bailey (singer of Earth, Wind & Fire) track  it was produced by Phil Collins (along with the whole album Chinese Wall).  Easy Lover went on to become #1 for four weeks in the UK and #2 in the US.   It was a shame to read and find out that Mr. Collins is no longer able to play the drums or the piano to a operation on his dislocated neck vertebrae.  But there is more then a lifetime of music from Geneisis to his solo work to remember the 7 time Grammy and 2 Golden Globes winner as our pick for this weeks Video Vendredi.

Enjoy the Weekned, Chivers!
