And that’s as simple as I can explain it… I was super stoked when I was invited to a special evening hosted at the notorious Victoria Park, this amazing health, wellness and beauty center in the heart of Westmount. Inspired by the renowned urban parks of the world, Victoria Park brings us a new concept of luxury where simplicity and originality are immersed within a tranquil environment and harmonious design. Being the spa and yoga junkie that I am, the concept of amalgamating every luscious beauty and massage treatment with athletic training and a multitude of contemporary fitness classes to create one total euphoric experience was beyond belief and you could assure that my skinny bum was one of the first ones to get there!
I was greeted by the lovely ladies from zurbaines (and quite the lovely might I add) who then explained how I was to plan out my evening. I chose to try the pilates class and then proceed to a 30min massage at the luxurious but completely zenified spa. I was then introduced to the “locker room” (please picture Chris Farley doing the quote thing)… ladies I wanna live here…super clean, chic, and with all the amenities you want in a gym locker room. If you’re a germophobe like me and wait until you get home to shower, then you will be once and for all converted!
So since I was there so damn early, I had the chance to get a little demo on the TRX…a revolutionary training device designed by Navy seals that makes any expensive iron-pumping machinery look like Richard Simmons in a tutu… Seriously, check out the classes (which can be taken individually) because this thing tones you like nothing ever before!
So after the pampering and sore abdominals, we ended the evening the way every self-indulging experience should…cocktails and snacks! and organic too, just the way I like it:) I was truly impressed by the entire experience and everything this place has to offer. A huge menu of spa treatments and massages, top of the line gym equipment, sauna, steam baths, a shop featuring amazing and unique beauty products, and last but never least, a health food cafe filled with organic foods and treats. And it doesn’t end there. You have to see for yourself!
Huge shout out to the organizers and to the fabulous staff at Victoria Park. My 3 hour experience felt more like a 2 week vacation at a polynesian resort! I can’t wait to go back…detox yoga here I come!
