The Phenomenal Handclap Band (PHCB) is a tightly knit group of musicians and artists from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. “You get about 90 seconds’ warning before the groove deepens…and from there, is it ever on: slightly spacy live-band psych-disco. If that sounds like a party, well, it is a party.” It’s also a live music show, with lots of instruments and inspiration from decadent decades past.
plus, another live performance from the deep-end coming from Nosaj Thing.
While on tour with the XX, Nosaj will be opening at Metropolis earlier that same night, but afterwards catch him unleash his full performance. Nosaj Thing is without a doubt, among L.A.’s finest musical modulators. His electronic soundscapes and wild beat tectonics play like vignettes that affect the listener’s mind as deeply as he hits their soul. Nosaj Thing creates nothing less than the sound mastery of beat driven, experimental electronics from a gifted noise constructor.
All that being said it’s going to be an awesome show for a mere price of $10 but we got the extra hook up for someone to win 2 tickets. How so??? Easy you just need to do 2 things:
