When you think of trends during this time Kid N’ Play no dobut had it: Hi-Top hair fade, 8-Ball leather jacket & the Kick-Step (a play on the Charleston dance but with New Jack Swing dance groove ie. the Running Man). All 3 of their albums were produced by Hurby “Luv Bug” Azor (the man behind Salt N’ Pepa) and focused on positive messages. The duo also had a short lived cartoon series as well acted and started in the movies: House Play, House Play 2 (which introduced unknown Martin Lawerence), House Party 3 (again introduing TLC as the group Sex as a Weapon) & Class Act (sadly without Kid’s trademark hi-top). It was a tough choice between: Funhouse , Gittin Funky, Do this My Way and Rollin with Kid N’ Play in the end: Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody was a shoe in.
